Steven has always believed that the best travel isn't just about where you go — it's about how it makes you feel when you're there, and how you still feel about it years later. He's been chasing that feeling for a long time: from a jeep on the South African savanna to a small table in a Versailles garden café, from the deck of a ship watching an Alaskan glacier to a flower-draped island in Lago Maggiore.
A graduate lecturer at Troy University, Steven teaches global business and project management — but his real classroom has always been the road. He's learned which airlines actually deliver on their promise, which hotels are worth the splurge, and which experiences you'll be telling stories about for the rest of your life.
On Travelled Well, he's less interested in checklists than in connection — the kind of travel that stays with you long after the luggage is unpacked.

Suzanne is the heart of every trip. After twenty years running her own graphic design firm, Sherman Designs, and another career as an elementary school teacher before retiring in May 2026, she brings something rare to travel: a designer's instinct for beauty and a teacher's gift for noticing what's actually worth paying attention to.
She's the reason the shots are framed the way they are. She's the one who spots the light, feels the mood of a place, and reminds Steven why they came in the first place. Her eye for color, space, and atmosphere shapes everything about how Travelled Well looks and feels — and she's his muse on all things design.
She is also the one who, when a ranger whispered "don't worry, the rhino thinks we're another rhino," turned to Steven and asked: "Does he like other rhinos?"
